Unlimited lives: 
Enter DUSTY BUG as a name on the first position on the high score screen. 

On  the  hiscore  table use the name 'ZBACKDOOR' and you will get
infinite lives and energy.

For infinite lives in this game, use the DOS utility DEBUG. First 
backup your game, then type the following from the DOS prompt:

ren alley.com cheater.cht
debug cheater.cht
e 134e 90 90 90 90
e 2126 90 90 90 90
e 223e 90 90 90 90
Then type:
w
q

Then rename CHEATER.CHT back to its previous name.

Press ENTER to select an archipelago,
type "8421" and press ENTER again.
Press ENTER once more, and you'll be able
to choose any archipelago from 1 to 9999.

Unlimited lives:
Type runcheat during game play. 

Cheat mode:
Press [Space] to pause game play, type dsimagic, and press [Space] again.
Catch the yellow power-up that appears to enable cheat mode. Press one of
the following keys to activate the corresponding cheat function.

Press [Left Alt] + [Right Alt] + Right Mouse Button at the title screen.
